We opened with a mixed exhibition to represent the diversity of our studio members linked through the raw material of clay, creating a sense of intrigue in the viewer.
Sculptures and vessels are all hand crafted into beautiful objects that you can use or just appreciate every day.
All work is for sale and we will launch our online catalogue this month.
We are proud that most of our members started their pottery journey with us via our classes and workshops. Our aim is to support them in their professional development at Clay Galeria.
We now have studio space for new members in our Barnes studio.
20 hours per week access: 7 days per week 24 hours per day.
Equipped with shimpo pottery wheels, lots of large storage shelves a large hand building table downstairs and 2 electric kilns and a gas kiln. Slab roller and glaze room coming soon!

A Yoga and pottery experience designed to help you feel more grounded and connected within.
These workshops are led and designed by Yoga and pottery teacher Mercedes Jaskolka and blend pottery and elemental yoga to promote mindfulness and well-being.
Maximum of 8 people. Cost is £150 inclusive of materials and firing costs.
All our courses are suitable for beginners and improvers.

Learn what a glaze is and how to make a glaze: weighing, mixing, creating a glaze profile/identity.
Types of glazes: shiny, matt, maiolica ware, special effect. Firing temperatures (earthenware/mid-temp/stoneware) and types of firing (oxidised and reduction). Basic structures of a glaze - role of flux, silica, and alumina.
Test tiles and glaze ingredients are provided. Tests will be ready to collect by the following week.
Easter classes
Make an Easter bunny paint with coloured decorating slips aged 6-8 years old or you can throw on the pottery wheel aged 9 upwards, Friday 18th April 11am-12pm

Hammersmith studio
You will practice and refine skills on the pottery wheel, work on tapering sides, single, double and multiple curves, bellying and collaring bowls, dishes and plates. You will be encouraged to explore a range of new and exciting challenges while working on your projects or just practising your skills.
1 Week Course - Monday- Friday
During the one week course you can work on self directed projects over five consecutive days from 10.00-1pm.
Projects include hand building coiling/slab-built forms to make a series of pots, plates and sculptural forms in clay.
Learn how to centre clay & throw cylinder shapes on the pottery wheel to make cups, bowls and vases.
