Spring is in the air and we have been very busy bees embarking on a new adventure that we can’t wait to share with you!
We are opening a new studio next to our current studio in West London SW13 Barnes, just off the Barnes High Street, its near to the river Thames with a gorgeous gallery space for our members to exhibit and sell their work.
As part of our celebration, we are offering a special Mother's Day event on Sunday 30th March 12-4pm to mark the opening of our new studio and invite you to join us for a wonderful family experience. A great opportunity to create lasting memories with the ones you love crafting unique pieces together.
We will be showing potential new members our fantastic new creative space to ignite your passion for ceramics in a supportive and inspiring environment.

We are accepting bookings for pottery parties large or small. Whether it is a birthday party, team building or children’s party!
We love hosting Pottery parties for school groups, private parties and corporates and can accomodate up to 40 people for a 3 hour session.

Hammersmith studio
We will practice and refine existing skills, working on tapering sides, single, double and multiple curves, bellying and collaring bowls, dishes and plates. You will be encouraged to explore a range of new and exciting challenges while working on your set projects or just practising your skills.
Throwing with Sara: Saturdays 10-1pm and Sundays 2-5pm in Hammersmith studio
Persian Throwing course: Sundays 17:00 - 20:00 4/8 wks course is taught in Farsi & English in Hammersmith studio.
1 Week Course runs every week Monday- Friday every last week of the month
During the one week course you can work on self directed projects over five consecutive days from 10.00-1pm.
Projects include hand building coiling/slab-built forms to make a series of pots, plates and sculptural forms in clay.
Learn how to centre clay & throw cylinder shapes on the pottery wheel to make cups, bowls and vases.

Work Exchange Opportunities
📍Hammersmith or Barnes
[Freelance position] technicians required to work weekends in a pottery studio in Hammersmith/Barnes in central London from 2025.
Ceramics Classes London are looking for dedicated technicians as either work exchange for memberships or as a paid technicians to work Saturdays/Sundays from 9am to 7pm
Rate of pay is: £15 per hour or work exchange is to the equivalent of membership 250pcm
Duties: Cleaning ceramics studio: hoovering/mopping floor/cleaning surfaces/blinds/pottery wheels/tables/stools/emptying the sink trap.
Technical: loading Cromartie Skutt kilns, operating kilns (training given) batt wash shelves remove glaze off shelves.
Members: recording sales of clay for members/ answering queries about kiln firings.
Teaching taster: to beginners small groups (maximum 6 people) adult/children.
Essential skills: experience of using clay and ability to throw on the pottery wheel is required. Good communication/time management skills- liaise with teachers to arrange prep for lessons and ensure work is fired on time ready for glazing sessions. Punctual and reliable with the ability to work as part of a team- working together to teach corporate team building events/parties-ensure that work is labelled correctly with name, date and cleaning after events.
Knowledge and understanding: of how to mix glazes using recipes adhere to good practice with health and safety- wear small glaze particle dusk mask and latex gloves when handling hazardous materials. Unload clay delivery from pallet must be able to lift 12.5kg weight (bags of clay) and store clay neatly in the store room on shelving. Recycling of clay- wedging- labelling and storing neatly. label tasters when ready to collect.
