📍Hammersmith Studio
1 Week Course every Monday
During the one week course you can work on self directed projects over five consecutive days from 10.00-1pm Mon-Fri.
Projects include hand building coiling/slab-built forms to make a series of pots, plates and sculptural forms in clay.
Learn how to centre clay & throw cylinder shapes on the pottery wheel to make cups, bowls and vases.
Reine thrown forms with turning tools, add handles, carve clay pots and decorate with coloured slips.
The glazing 2 weeks afterwards TBA.
All our courses are suitable for beginners and improvers.

GAZE WORKSHOP
📍Hammersmith
Glaze workshop by Louise Taylor: 1 DAY WORKSHOP: £225 Lunch and refreshments are provided.
10:30 - 5pm Sunday the 15th of December
What is a glaze? How to make a glaze: weighing, mixing, creating a glaze profile/identity.
Types of glazes: shiny, matt, maiolica ware, special effect. Firing temperatures (earthenware/mid-temp/stoneware) and types of firing (oxidised and reduction). Basic structure of a glaze - role of flux, silica, and alumina.
Test tiles and glaze ingredients are provided. Tests will be ready to collect by the following week.

📍Hammersmith or Barnes Studio
We have 15 pottery wheels in Hammersmith and 3 large hand building tables to enjoy a fun team building event with us.
A 10-15 person group will last 1.5 -2 hours
during this time you can choose either to throw pots on the pottery wheel or to hand-build with clay at the table.
A 30-40 person taster: 3 hours.
We will divide you into two-three groups with a dedicated teacher to support and guide you. This gives each group of up to 15 people the opportunity to learn how to throw a pot on the pottery wheel and how to hand build with clay. Each group works with a specialist teacher providing a demonstration to teach you how to work with clay in Hammersmith.
£65pp Includes Prosecco!
You are welcome to bring drinks and snacks to the studio.
Membership Opportunities
Enquire to become a member in our Hammersmith or Barnes studio. We offer 24-hour access and the studio can be used for hand-building and throwing techniques. Members get 50% discount on individual or group tuition. We have 15 pottery wheels in Hammersmith and 9 wheels in Barnes.
Our Hammersmith studio is equipped with a slab roller, extruder, 3 large hand building tables, 4 kilns, dedicated technicians, 15 stoneware glazes for members.
Membership costs £250pcm for 20 hours per week access. Kiln firings and glazes are included.
Opportunities to network with other artists/makers, sell your work from the studio, promote your work on instagram.
